Woven Through Generations

Our story begins in Hungary, in the years leading up to the war. At the directive of his father, my grandfather began learning the art of measurement in his late teens—a precise and disciplined skill that would shape the course of his life. My grandmother, equally meticulous, would later become the steady hands behind the needle. Together, they laid the foundation of a life defined by craftsmanship.

After escaping war-torn Hungary, they made their way through France and eventually settled in New York City. There, in 1958 they bought a small garment shop in Manhattan and transformed it into a respected destination for custom shirting. For over 50 years, my grandfather measured, my grandmother sewed, and together they built a reputation for fine, custom-made men’s clothing—garments defined by integrity, elegance, and lasting quality.

As a child, I watched them work. I didn’t just see how garments were made—I saw how standards were kept. I learned that real craftsmanship is patient, honest, and uncompromising.
